However, current SAF production remains a tiny fraction of overall jet fuel supply, showing that demand far outpaces supply growth. This persistent gap creates urgency for scalable carbon feedstock infrastructure.
Forest-based SAF feedstocks risk shifting aviation emissions into deforestation impacts.Although SAF technologies exist, key feedstocks such as used cooking oil and waste fats are limited in supply and face competition from other sectors.
